Who could possibly put in words and music about the love he had for America better
 than the great Ray Charles! One of this nations greatest citizens. Who in spite 
of his color while living then in a segregated society or his blindness raised
himself up to become one of the greatest of all Americans! 
As a young man I became a fan the first time I saw Ray in the early 60's at a small 
club in Cincinnati Ohio. Along with a few others I got to sit and talk with Ray 
for about 20 Minutes and in that conversation he indeed beautified my 
life with his charm, talent and his amazing grace!
Ray believed in himself, God, Christ Jesus and in America! God blessed 
him and I know that this very day and hour Ray is walking on the 
streets of glory and is viewing all of God's Kingdom and all of
 God's Glory! Over the years I had the wonderful pleasure of 
seeing Ray in several performance venues and each time
  just like millions of others I loved Ray all the more!
 In music.. Ray!. is the one I miss the most!
