Your Word Is Your Bond! Make Your Word And Your Vows To Hold Fast Like A Strong Anchor And Secure Your Word In.... The Truth!
My Word And My Name Is 100% Good...Is Yours?For those of you who know me then you well know that my word is good and I always honor what I say I will do. As the Bondservant of JESUS I can do nothing less. A good example of this on my part is that when I became a minister in this beloved church over 30 years ago, when I took my vows of ordination and became a member of the clergy in this church I honored them each and every one and I never went back on my word not once in all these years! I have always honored my word and my vows!
The results were that I built a strong ministry among those who followed me and in this church because people knew they could have faith in my word as a minister of the gospel and the truth! As the living loving Bondservant of Jesus I must and always do honor my word.
Yes! God blessed me every step of the way from the streets where like JESUS I began to preach HIS Gospel and now to the Bishopship and world missions director of this beloved outreach missions church that has served with honor and distinction all over the world for more than eight glorious decades!
In our day, guarantees and promises often mean nothing. Frequently the bold claims of politicians, advertisers and sales people are more sizzle than steak. Likewise, a company's grandiose commitments about servicing the customer can suddenly vanish after one has taken home the product. And for some, marriage vows are little more than a formality, easily discarded when a more tempting prospect comes along.
Yet while many people may live by the motto that contracts were made to be broken. God takes a different view when it comes to the commitments we make. He expects people to fulfill their vows and promises, especially the ones made before Him (Deut. 23:21-23). As the Law points out, there is no sin in not making promises in the first place (23:22). But once we commit ourselves, we need to follow through. Otherwise we sin against God Himself.
Keeping our word is more than just good business: it is responsible living as a believer. Are you living up to the promises you have made? Keeping our word is a Godly "Work Style" See Titus. 2:9-10. and "Promises To God". Num. 30:2.
I want to go through these scriptures with you as a Beloved Minister In Christ. Deut. 23:21-23. (V.21). "When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it; for the Lord your God will surely require of it of you, and it would be sin to you.(v.22). "That which has gone from your lips you shall keep and perform, for you voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth!!!
Titus:2:9-10.(v.9). Exhort bond servants to be obedient to their own master, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back. (v.10). not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God Our Savior in all things.
Num: 30:2. (v.2). "If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or swears on oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
If you as a minister ordained in this church cannot honor your word , your vows of ordination and honor God in all things and tell the truth then you are not worthy to be called a Christian let alone be a minister of the truth and the servant of Jesus Christ our Lord!A wise old man from the Eastern Kentucky Mountains by the name of Joe Tipton said to me one time; "Dr. Davy back here in these mountains we live by how good a mans word is and if a mans word ain't no good!....Then he ain't no good!"..........Truer words were never spoken!
My Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, let's stick to our word of truth and Honor God and our Lord Jesus who Loves each and everyone of us that preach His Gospel. To Our Heavenly Father I Give all the Honor, Praise and Glory in the precious name of Jesus! From Ages to Ages , Now and Forever! Amen & Amen.
